Jiuwu Hi-Tech Helps China's Salt Lake Create the World's First Industrial Benchmark for Raw Brine Adsorption

On March 8, the third phase of the technical modification project of the China Minmetals Lithium Extraction from Salt Lake at Yiliping successfully completed its trial run, marking a significant breakthrough for the world's first industrial project utilizing original brine adsorption. As the technical service provider for the core process section of this project, Jiuwu Hi-tech injected technological momentum into this milestone project with its solid and reliable "adsorption + membrane" integrated technology, assisting China's salt lake lithium extraction technology in advancing to a new stage of "high efficiency, low carbon, and intelligence".

World's First Innovation: Breaking Through Technical Bottlenecks

This technical modification project employs China Minmetals Salt Lake's independently developed "original brine efficient lithium extraction technology," which improves the comprehensive recovery rate of lithium by nearly 100% through adsorption process innovation, significantly shortens the production cycle, and is expected to increase annual lithium carbonate production capacity by 15,000 tons. As the key support provider for the industrial implementation of this technology, Jiuwu Hi-tech deeply participated in the entire process of technical validation:

Provided process package development support throughout the process, from lab-scale parameter optimization, pilot plant verification to industrial scale-up design.


Breakthrough in Core Materials

Custom-developed specialized adsorbents suitable for high sodium-to-lithium ratio original brine, with a cumulative filling volume of 1710m³ (accounting for 75% of the total adsorption section volume).


Process System Integration

Completed the full-process design of the membrane separation system, constructing an adsorption-membrane coupled lithium extraction technology system.

  • Full-process Escort: Dispatched process experts for on-site commissioning to ensure the adsorption section passed the continuous operation test in one go.
